    WHAT YOU'RE APPLYING

    Not a potion. A protein.

    MRJP1 is a bioengineered repair protein. In nature it is the primary protein in royal jelly honey, the substance worker bees feed exclusively to the queen. Same hive. Same DNA. The Queen eats royal jelly and lives for 5 years. The others live 6 weeks. 


    Our scientists isolated it, rebuilt it as a monomer small enough to pass through compromised skin, and aimed it at the repair receptors deep in your dermis. Ten years in research and five years in hospitals and clinics put us here. The evidence is real and the protein works; now we learn together how it works on you.

    In your kit, you will find the gel in an airless pump and a calibration tool with a QR code that brings you back to this page. Everything we ask of you fits below. Read it once, then save this page. Your consistency is the experiment. When you skip, the data skips with you. 


    Here is the protocol, in order.

    1. APPLY

    Twice a day. Make it a habit you won't break.

    • Twice a day, every day, for the full protocol. Pick a time you'll remember. Most people apply in the morning after a shower and at night before bed.
    • Start with clean, dry skin. Nothing else on the scar when you apply.
    • Use a thin layer over the scar and just past its edges. A little goes a long way.
    • Do not stop early because it looks better, and do not stop early because it doesn't. Repair runs on a clock. The protein does the work. Your consistency lets it.

    2. PHOTOGRAPH

    Twice a week, Monday and Thursday. [We'll send you a text message as a reminder]. Repair is invisible day to day, so the camera is how we see it. This is the habit that matters most.

    • Twice a week. Monday and Thursday. Same two days every week.
    • Before you apply, not after. Photograph clean, dry skin with nothing on it.
    • Use the calibration tool from your kit. It is a small plastic bookmark. Place it about one inch below your scar, inside the frame, every single time. It lets us measure your scar precisely and adjust for different lighting even when the photos vary.
    • Try keep the same distance every time. Hold your phone a comfortable, repeatable distance from your skin, about a foot away, framing your scar and the calibration tool together. Whatever distance you choose, try use it every time.
    • Light it softly. Stand near a window in indirect daylight. No flash. No direct sun. Same spot and same time of day if you can.
    • Keep it honest. Use your normal camera app. No filters, no portrait mode, no editing, no retouching. We need the real thing.
    • One clear shot each time. Scar centered, calibration tool one inch below, straight on.

    3. Send It In

    One thread for your photos and your questions.

    • Send both photos to us each week via text. 
    • Use that same thread to ask us anything, at any hour. A real person is on the other end.
    • If a shot looks off to us, we'll ask for a quick reshoot while it's still easy to fix.

    MRJP1 Labs ScarGel is designed to be gentle - we use a simple base formula of nine ingredients, all within clean beauty standards - and most people feel nothing beyond an ordinary application. Every body is different, though, so pay attention to your skin.
