● Cohort One
Help build a clearer picture of scar repair.
The research has brought us to a difficult and exciting next question: How does that potential translate into meaningful change in established scars and stretch marks? And how does the experience vary with scar age, skin tone, and other biological factors?
We are bringing together 100 people to explore this question, documenting their experience to see how far this work can go.
Planned commitment: 12-16 weeks. Applications are reviewed for suitability.

What you are joining
The 100 Scar Project is a participant documentation project. You use StretchSerum or ScarGel according to the agreed instructions, photograph your scar or stretch marks at set intervals and tell us what you notice.
Each record will include the context needed to understand it: scar history, time using the product and relevant changes along the way. We are looking for accurate accounts, including substantial change, modest change and no visible change.
The project is observational. It is not a controlled clinical trial, and participation does not come with a guaranteed result.
Cohort 0 went first
An early observational project documenting the appearance of existing scars over time. Photos taken by Cohort 0 participants with the MRJP1 Labs color card. Drag the line to compare. Tap a photo to see it larger.

Each pair was rotated, scaled and cropped by hand so the scar sits in the same place. The original photos as taken, only resized and, where noted, covered for privacy. Color, skin and lighting are not edited. Distance, angle and light differ between photos. These images document changes in scar appearance over time. Results vary, and the changes shown may also reflect natural scar maturation and other factors. These observations do not establish that the product caused the changes shown, and do not show what every participant can expect. Participants received the product at no cost as part of the 100 Scar Project.
